Solais Launches New 3-Inch Architectural Downlighting Family

Solais, now of Solais Lighting Group, introduces Stretta ST2, a family of specification-grade, small-aperture downlight fixtures offering a sleek, minimalist design that makes a statement. Designed to meet the functional demands of the professional design community, Stretta is the perfect downlight for illuminating a magnitude of markets including commercial, residential, retail and hospitality. The Stretta ST2 offers a discrete 1.75-inch aperture that seamlessly vanishes into the ceiling. This truly universal housing allows you to choose between downlight, flat-pinhole, adjustable and wall wash trims, offered in flange or flangeless, with round and square configurations. ST2 downlights feature a proprietary magnetic trim engagement system. This efficient process removes chances of installation errors and minimizes risk for light leak, regardless of ceiling conditions. The downlight also features a magnetically held, proprietary 40-degree vertical tilt, 365-degree rotation arm, allowing center-beam optics to be maintained through the inner trim aperture. The toolless arm is easily removed or adjusted post-installation to allow for below-the-ceiling “hot aiming” and accessory installation if necessary. The low-profile, new-construction housing is inherently airtight – complying with Chicago Plenum requirements – and is rated for dry, damp and wet locations. Stretta offers best-in-class optical performance – with performance packages ranging from 500 lumens/7.5W to 2000 lumens/25W – by delivering excellent beam control that is clean, smooth and precise.Solais developed a proprietary driver, offering universal dimming to 1% for TRIAC, ELV and 0-10V. Serviceable from below the ceiling, it also features a maintenance indicator to simplify troubleshooting. Stretta is also compatible with third-party drivers, which include Lutron Hi-lume® and eldoLED SOLOdrive®.Enhanced two-step MacAdam Ellipse color binning is standard. With CCT options from 2200K to 4000K, CRI options from 80+ to 97+, tunable white, dim-to-warm, and even Solais’ proprietary color enhancement option – MonoWhite – the combinations are endless.
