LD+A Magazine Gives Solais a Shout-Out

Lighting Design + Application (LD+A) is a magazine for professionals involved in the art, science, study, manufacture, teaching, and implementation of lighting. The energy adviser, Willard L. Warren, mentioned Solais Lighting, LLC in his March 2010 article on the importance of thermal management in electronics:”I recently visited a start-up company in Connecticut, named Solais, that is making a screw-in LED PAR lamp for interior use that is ventilated and cooled by a frictionless, magnetic levitation (mag-lev) fan, originally created for the laptop computer industry. The ventilation keeps the LED 20 to 30 degrees cooler than an aluminum heat sink can and the lamp has higher efficacy and can have a higher wattage with more lumens than previous models”.It appears that Warren is a “fan” of Solais!
