Designs of three lighting products from PowerSecure Lighting (a division of PowerSecure International, NYSE: POWR) were among the finalists for Innovation Awards at LIGHTFAIR® International 2015, held May 5-7 at the Javits Center in New York. PowerSecure Lighting, a manufacturer of specification-grade LED fixtures and lamps, presented an exhibit demonstrating its three brands: Solais, EfficientLights and EnergyLite.Judges recognized the qualities of the Solais VioLight™ technology for fixtures particularly suited for track, under-cabinet and retail display applications. Available in white, silver and black housings, the dimmable 3000K fixtures are available in a 17-watt version with a 1450-lumen output, and a 22-watt style rated at 1850-lumen output. Equally suitable for new construction or as replacements for existing metal halide or incandescent lamps, the fixtures with VioLight technology were developed by Solais to enhance the colors of merchandise on display, and to show white products at their brightest.Products with VioLight technology carry an average rated life of 50,000 hours. VioLight and other Solais products feature the company’s unique, patented Luxiance® thermal management system.The Solais LR38 (PAR38 LED lamp replacement) was recognized for its 2400-lumen output and performance record for use in commercial, museum, retail and health-care environments, especially as a replacement lamp.EnergyLite was among the top entrants for the category of Parking, Roadway and Area Luminaires. The all-aluminum housing contains an LED array appropriate for street lighting, security and parking lot applications.This year’s LIGHTFAIR International attracted more than 500 exhibitors and was visited by over 26,000 lighting professionals.
