SVP OF PUBLIC SECTOR

Senior Vice President of the Public Sector manages Solais Lighting Group’s utility and governmental market lighting efforts, focusing on the EnergyLite brand. Prior to joining EnergyLite, he led the Lighting Services businesses at Georgia Power and Gulf Power for over 13 years. Georgia Power owns, operates, and maintains one of the largest smart lighting installations in the US in addition to a robust unregulated lighting business. Additionally, Mr. Hutto led the startup of multiple Smart Services initiatives and telecommunications colocation efforts for Georgia Power. Mr. Hutto has over 36 years in lighting and energy-related experience, including extensive experience in street and area lighting, networked lighting controls, outdoor surveillance, smart cities, colocation, and energy services contracts. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration from Mississippi State University. Mr. Hutto holds Professional Engineering licenses in 4 states and holds both Certified Energy Manager and Certified Energy Auditor designations. He is a member of the Illumination Engineering Society (IES), American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), & American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Scotty currently serves as Chair of the IES Street & Area Lighting Committee.
