An Ode to LEDs

This blog is an ode to LEDs. As the manufacturers of the world's finest LED lamps, we at Solais Lighting think LEDs are great, and we want to share our love of them with the world.

In addition to writing about our lamps, lighting specifications and the nuts and bolts of how LEDs work, we intend to cover the vast variety of applications for which LEDs are used. You can count on us for in-depth information on topics such as thermal management methods, features to look for in an LED replacement lamp and new industry standards to ensure quality LED products, but our frequent entries will also focus on LED-based artwork by artists like Erwin Redl and James Turrell, plants grown with the aid of LEDs, funky LED clothes like breath-sensitive scarves and Katy Perry's dress, and awesome LED footstools and the like. The portability, versatility, programmability and electronic connectivity of LEDs make them a tremendous catalyst for innovation in a plethora of fields and applications.

The world of LEDs is an ever-expanding one, and we want to do our part to inform our readers of what's going on – both in the industry of lighting and outside of it. We hope to see you around on the comment page. Thoughts, trenchant insights and lovin' feelings are always appreciated!
